It seems like February equals a lot of people getting hurt from falling, off the wagon that is:) It's easy to slip back into old ways and unhealthy habits, but don't beat yourself up over it. We must get out of that "on a diet/off a diet" mind set. When we restrict ourselves to "diets" it just sets us up to CRAVE! If we indulge, then we'll be more likely to toss the whole eating plan out the window. Instead, take one day at a time, one MEAL at a time, even one SNACK at a time. INTENTIONAL EATING!!! Let's ditch the "I'll start a diet on Monday" stuff.
FIT TIPS: 1. Drink lots of water - 75% of people are chronically dehydrated! Mild dehydration will slow our metabolism by 3%!
2. Eat every 3 -4 hours. We can't wait until we are STARVING to eat -- that will cause us to eat more and to make poor choices in our starve crazed minds.
3. Plan ahead. Plan out that next meal, even that next snack. Having a plan removes us from the land of impulse. Keep emergency snacks on hand.
Stay on the wagon and you won't get hurt:)
